We’ll be introducing our classroom pets on our MIPTO facebook page for the next few weeks—stay tuned
The Matoska International Parent-Teacher Organization (MIPTO) is at the heart of our school community, fostering a strong connection between families, teachers, and students. We're excited to be gearing up for the next school year and are actively seeking enthusiastic parents/guardians to join our PTO Board!
Why Get Involved?
Being part of the PTO Board is a rewarding way to:
Make a Difference: Your contributions directly impact the learning environment and enrichment activities for our children.
Connect with Others: Meet fellow parents/guardians, teachers, and staff while working towards shared goals.
Develop Skills: Gain valuable leadership, communication, and organizational experience.
What Do MIPTO Board Members Do?
Nine board members will be elected for the 2026-27 school year. Together, we coordinate fundraising efforts that support school programs and classroom needs, as well as plan community events like the “Welcome Back Bears” fall picnic and Rally 4 Reading. Board members attend one regular meeting each month, plan and/or volunteer at MIPTO school events, coordinate teacher appreciation activities, etc.
Board members are encouraged to bring their skills and talents–including leadership, creativity, communication, graphic design, event planning, organization, etc. There's something for everyone, regardless of your time commitment or experience level.
We encourage all interested parents/guardians to submit an application BY MONDAY APRIL 27. Apply now!

"The Spanish Immersion program has been a fantastic addition to our district. Volunteering in the classroom, I've been so impressed and amazed at how much our little ones have learned. It's so much fun to hear them talking away and signing in another language! And the staff is fantastic!" - Marisa, Immersion Program Parent
"Better than I expected! My son is reading in Spanish and English in Kindergarten!" - Lindsay, Immersion Program Parent
We are hoping to fill our Kindergarten Spanish Immersion program! Several parents in the program right now are happy to address your questions and concerns! Email matoskaparents@gmail.com to get connected. Please share the program details with your networks!
