We’re excited to kick off Rally 4 Reading, a month-long celebration of literacy that ends with a Reading Celebration Event on Friday, February 27!
Friday, February 27, 6-8 PM at Matoska
Students and their families are welcome!
Activities, games, Bingo, animal reading buddies, crafts, refreshments and more!
Volunteers needed - sign up here!
This year’s theme is “Reading Is the Passport to Countless Adventures.”
Students can participate by completing any of the reading activities included in the Rally 4 Reading packet (being sent home by Feb 1) and turning them into the office by Friday, February 27. Each completed activity earns students an entry into our Grand Prize Drawing.
Ways to Participate Include:
Reading Genre Challenge:
Students set a personal reading goal (minutes, books, or another goal of their choice) and track their reading on the Genre Book Tracker.
✔ All reading counts—books, audiobooks, podcasts, or listening to someone read!
✔ Students who turn in their tracker will receive a bookmark with a free kids’ meal from Raising Cane’s and be entered into a prize drawing.
Book Review Haiku: Students can write a haiku about a book they read and these creative reviews will be displayed at the Celebration Event.
We’ll also be hosting a reading-themed spirit dress week Feb 23-27—more details coming soon! We can’t wait to see our students reading, imagining, and adventuring through books!
