GRATITUDE & GIVING 2023 WRAP UP
Thank you Matoska community for your participation and support during our Annual Gratitude & Giving Drive.
We filled the tree with lots of gratitude leaves and raised $5,507.17 to support key programs and needs at our school.

Also, thank you to all those that helped make cards for Letters of Love and Gifts for Seniors. So many creative cards and lots of giving hearts.
WATER WARRIOR DANCE
The Water Warriors are hosting a dance on December 20 from 7:30-8:30pm.
The dance is free and all families are welcome.
There will be snacks and activities.
Paint a ceiling tile for $20 or request a song for $1.

This magical story explores the world of Giants who live above the clouds. Ever since they left Earth a long time ago, the Giants have made a life up above where their job is to keep the sky beautiful. They polish the stars, poke the clouds to let it rain and paint the sunsets. But there is one curious Giant who wonders what life is like on Earth, so she steals a key to the locked up “beanstalk” and embarks on an adventure down below!

IB INQUIRERS

This month, using the code below or this link, you can watch a brief (3 minute) video that explains our Attributes of the Learner Profile. These are the 10 characteristics that we are practicing as IB learners. Students reflect on their development of the learner profile attributes as they take ownership of their learning.
Spotted in the 1st and 2nd grade commons area:
Students are reflecting on how they are demonstrating each attribute. As they mark their evidence with stickers, they are encouraging one another and making connections between attributes: for example, noting when a classmate was Caring and Principled. Together, we are working to “learn as much as we can learn, so we can be the best people we can be, so that we can make the world a better place.”

"THEATER NIGHT OUT" with Children's Performing Arts

HEALTH PROGRAMS
DENTAL SEALANT PROGRAM
Our school will be hosting the Minnesota School Sealant Program, where your child has the opportunity to receive FREE or reduced cost preventive dental services at school. A licensed dental professional will be offering sealants, cleanings, and fluoride varnishes to students. Click HERE for details.
POP-UP FLU CLINIC
The Bear Care Clinic will offer flu vaccines for students during and after school on Monday, December 11. We have both the Flu MIST and IM shot vaccines available.
During school hours, students may come to the Bear Care Clinic located IN North Campus during class or passing time; they will return to class within 10-15 minutes.
After 3:30, there will be a flu clinic booth in the North Campus fieldhouse.
